COLLECTION OF ANTIQUE AND VINTAGE U.S.S. "CONSTITUTION" SOUVENIRS
19th/20th Centuries
1) Circa 1882-1897 rare pink lustre plate "Old Frigate Constitution at Kittery Navy Yard". Diameter 6.5".
2) Early 20th Century German porcelain dish "Old Ironsides Old Frigate Constitution" with gilt trim. 3" x 5".
3) "U.S. Frigate Constitution, Charlestown, Mass." postcard with a circa 1897-1905 image. From the estate of Herman Otto Sudholz, commander of the Constitution from September 26, 1980 to June 22, 1985.
4) Wedgwood 1904 calendar tile "The U.S. Frigate Constitution in Chase. Also known as 'Old Ironsides,' Launched at Boston, Oct 21, 1797". Made for Jones, McDuffee & Stratton Co., Boston pottery merchants, as advertising premiums for their customers. 3.5" x 4.75".

    From the U.S.S. Constitution Museum "Timeline", 1882-1897, "As steam technology flourished, aging wooden sailing ships like Constitution were relegated to duty as receiving ships. Constitution's top deck was fitted with a two-story "barn" to create a floating barracks where sailors awaited orders at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard."

Shipping

Pick up or shipping arrangements must be made within seven (7) days of the close of the auction.

All items must be removed from our facilities within fourteen (14) days of the close of the auction. No items will be released until payment has cleared.

Shipping is not included in the purchase price. While we do not offer shipping services, we are happy
to help coordinate and recommend shipping agents.

STORAGE FEES
All items remaining after 14 days may be subject to a $5/per item/per day storage fee. No items will be released unless storage fees are paid in full. Items remaining more than thirty (30) days from the close of the auction may be sold for the buyer's account minus auction and storage fees.
