| SELLER SERVICES |
 |
| In the instance of large items or entire households, our appraisers will come
to your home by appointment to evaluate and guide you about the
merchandise proposed for auction. If you have only a few items, we
encourage you to bring them directly to your gallery for a free verbal
appraisal. Evaluation can also be expressed upon viewing photographs. We
are always happy to speak with you personally at any time about our
commission and payment structures. Commission rates are low, competitive
and clearly stated on our contracts. Antiques and Objets d’Art of
greatest value and collector interest are usually held for optimum promotion
and advertising before being presented for sale. All items are considered as
photograph candidates for our website and those selected are used to
represent their designated sale date. Our only fee is the commission which
covers all expenses of insurance, transportation, storage, display and
advertising until items are sold. Merchandise is not only promoted on the
website but also in full-color brochure mailings, antiques trade publications,
regional newspaper announcements and by direct contact with collectors and
dealers. Computerized accounting provides thorough, accurate records
and payment to consignors is ready three business days after merchandise
is sold. Payment checks are accompanied by a list with catalog description,
hammer price and consignor net after commission on each lot. |
